By accessing, browsing, or using WhatsMyCar ("the Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms in their entirety, you must not use this Service.

2. Service Description

WhatsMyCar is a free car recommendation tool that suggests vehicles based on user-provided preferences. The Service is provided for general informational and entertainment purposes only. It is not intended to be, and should not be construed as, professional automotive advice, financial advice, or a substitute for independent research and professional consultation.

3. No Warranty

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE. We expressly disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:

  • Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
  • Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or timeliness of any information provided
  • Warranties that any errors or defects will be corrected

4. Accuracy of Information

Vehicle information displayed on this Service, including but not limited to prices, specifications, features, fuel economy figures, reliability ratings, and availability, is gathered from various sources and may be outdated, inaccurate, or incomplete. Prices and specifications vary by region, trim level, model year, and dealer. You must independently verify all information with official manufacturers, authorised dealerships, or other qualified professionals before making any purchasing decisions.

5. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WHATSMYCAR, ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Damages for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or data
  • Damages arising from the purchase, lease, or use of any vehicle
  • Damages resulting from any vehicle defects, recalls, accidents, or mechanical failures
  • Damages arising from reliance on any recommendation or information provided by this Service
  • Damages resulting from any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in the content
  • Personal injury or property damage of any nature arising from your use of the Service
  • Any financial losses incurred as a result of vehicle purchases or related transactions

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which damages are sought, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or otherwise, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

6. User Responsibilities

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on information from this Service
  • You will conduct your own independent research before purchasing any vehicle
  • You will consult with qualified professionals (mechanics, financial advisors, etc.) as appropriate
  • You will verify all vehicle information directly with manufacturers and dealers
  • You will arrange for independent vehicle inspections before any purchase
  • You understand that our recommendations are automated suggestions, not personalised professional advice

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WhatsMyCar and its owners, operators, affiliates, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or relating to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of any third party.

8. No Commercial Relationship

WhatsMyCar has no commercial relationship with any vehicle manufacturer, dealer, or seller. We do not receive commissions, referral fees, or any other compensation for vehicle recommendations. Our suggestions are generated algorithmically based solely on the preferences you provide.

9. Privacy

Quiz answers and preferences are processed locally in your browser and are not stored on our servers. No account creation is required to use this Service.

We use privacy-friendly, self-hosted analytics to understand how visitors use our site. This collects anonymous data such as pages visited, device type, and country — but no personal information, cookies, or tracking across other websites. Your quiz answers are never included in analytics data.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify, amend, or update these Terms of Service at any time without prior notice. Changes become effective immediately upon posting to this page. 13. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service constitute the entire agreement between you and WhatsMyCar regarding your use of the Service, superseding any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral.
